JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Officer plays a key role in supporting the company’s employee-related initiatives and operations. The individual will be responsible for assisting in various HR functions, such as recruitment, on-boarding, training, performance evaluation, employee relations, and compliance with labour laws and company policies. The HR Officer will work closely with managers and employees to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and on-boarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Support in developing and implementing employee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Handle employee relations matters by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work culture.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
  • Stay up-to-date on labour laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices.
  • Collaborate with the managers to implement HR initiatives and projects that align with company goals.
  • Ensuring that performance assessments ratings are aligned to achievement of business results.
  • Keeping all employees informed of all matters relevant to them by effectively and proactively communicating (both formally and informally).
  • Attendance and tracking of employee movements.
  • Issuing out Leave forms and advising employees on when to take their annual leave

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Excel.
